Power Yoga (60 Minutes)

Power Yoga is a dynamic, fitness-based style of Vinyasa that builds strength, flexibility, and endurance while improving posture and balance.

No two classes are ever the same – each session offers a fresh, energising flow that keeps your practice engaging and challenging. This variety sets Power Yoga apart from more traditional styles that follow the same sequence each time.

Hot Yoga (60 Minutes)

Hot Yoga, simply put, is our Power Yoga practiced in a heated room.

During your Hot Yoga class the room is heated to between 32-36 degrees. The heat aids the body in relaxing your muscles, detoxify the body and may also assist in stress relief and weight loss. A strong Yinyasa Practice makes this the perfect mix of challenging and rejuvenating style and a very popular class at Yoga Fix Mackay.

Pilates Matwork (60 Minutes)

Matwork Pilates is a system of repetitive exercises performed on a mat.

The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength & flexibility. Classes will be taught using slow, controlled movements using your own body weight as the primary source of resistance. Pilates targets the “powerhouse” muscles, which include the glutes, hips, pelvic floor, and lower back.

The core-strengthening benefits of this method is improved posture, flexibility, and balance

The difference between Yoga and Pilates, is that in Yoga we adopt a position and hold it or flow into a different position. In Pilates, you adopt a position then challenge your core by moving your arms and legs.
